Has SkyRC reinvented the wheel with this height gauge?
It certainly seems so. With its market launch in spring 2026, the demand is huge, and it feels like one of these gauges will soon be on everyone’s desk.
And rightly so!
The digital gauge simplifies many things.
The long arm is attached to a spring and always wants to extend upwards. To take a measurement, you press it down, slide it under the chassis, and the spring then pushes the arm back up until it makes contact with the chassis.
The display then shows the chassis height.
Also ingenious – although not advertised by the manufacturer: The suspension travel (e.g., on the outer suspension arm) can be measured just as accurately and perfectly.
To eliminate any potential deviations, a calibration tool in the form of a standardized aluminum block is included. Brilliantly thought through!

The SkyRC Digital RC Ride Height Gauge is a precise, digital measuring tool for determining the ride height of RC models. Powered by an integrated MCU and a proprietary measurement algorithm, the device delivers a resolution of 0.1 mm over a measuring range of 2–38 mm. The slim, flat 2 mm measuring blade reaches even tight and hard-to-access areas where conventional round measuring sticks reach their limits. Integrated multi-point calibration with an included calibration block (at 2 mm, 10 mm, and 20 mm) ensures reliable and repeatable measurements.
